Full job description

Purpose:

Assist in production planning, inventory and raw material purchases

Essential Functions:

  • Run processes in ERP system to review purchasing suggestions, and create purchase orders to send to vendors

  • Receive purchased material into ERP system and process paperwork

  • Contact suppliers to reconcile issues.

  • Assist with scheduled plant inventory- enter counts, run variance reports, and reconcile discrepancies

  • Maintains accurate inventory and conducts transfers and quantity adjustments of material

  • Plans and schedules workflow for assigned departments to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders

  • Runs scheduling reports to release and close jobs, reviews data, and updates inventory appropriately

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment within purchasing/inventory

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office

  • Strong organizational skills to maintain all reports and records
