Payroll AdministratorAbout the OpportunityThompson Solutions Group is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support weekly payroll operations and provide responsive payroll service to employees. In this role, you’ll work under the general direction of the Payroll Coordinator and help gather, enter, process, and maintain payroll information while supporting reports, records, and employee payroll inquiries.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys accuracy, confidentiality, problem-solving, and being a trusted resource for employees, supervisors, managers, and the payroll/accounting team.What You'll Do

  • Process weekly payroll and related payroll transactions

  • Maintain payroll records, PTO balances, and reimbursements

  • Prepare union and certified payroll reports

  • Review payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accuracy

  • Assist employees, supervisors, and managers with payroll and timekeeping questions

  • Support payroll audits and compliance requirements

  • Provide administrative support to the payroll, accounting, and finance teams

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma required

  • 1-2 years of payroll, accounting, HR, or related experience

  • Knowledge of payroll processes, taxes, deductions, and compliance requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to other office locations as needed

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform routine computer-based work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
