Overview
Responsibilities
Scheduling

Schedules all surgical procedures, necessary equipment, and pre-op testing to ensure a smooth surgical course for the patient.

Coordinates patient scheduling with the surgeon's office, and confirms bed availability for inpatient admissions.

Schedules all procedures per blocked scheduling requirement and is proactive in filling all daily surgical slots.

Interacts with the physician offices and other involved departments to obtain the necessary patient information and records to assure a safe surgical procedure.

Consults with other departments, as needed and appropriate, to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's pre and post-surgical needs.

Performs daily chart audits.

Assists with Pre-op Interview Patient Flow.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of similar experience required.

Pay Range:$17.00/Hr. - $26.35/Hr.
