Full job description

Shift: 7:00 PM-7:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $32.28 an hour + $.85 shift differential

Reporting to Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform corrective and preventive maintenance to support safe, reliable operations at our St. Elmo, Illinois manufacturing facility. You will contribute to equipment reliability and operational efficiency by completing work on time and following continuous improvement practices. Popular products manufactured at this facility include Mrs. Butterworth's, Log Cabin, Wish-Bone, and Open Pit.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, fabricate parts as needed, and operate shop equipment to support repairs
  • Train operators on equipment set-up, changeovers, safety procedures, and Operator Asset Care
  • Support equipment installation, removal, and modification to meet operational needs
  • Maintain and repair mechanical power transmission systems including belts, chains, sprockets, pulleys, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, and clutches
  • Maintain and repair fluid handling systems including valves, pumps, filters, and strainers
  • Follow and reinforce Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices in all activities

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • Ability to 12 hour night shift on a rotating 3-2-2 schedule
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience with advanced electronic controls including variable frequency drives, start and stop systems, starters, and contactors, proximity switches, resistance temperature detectors, and pressure transmitters
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Experience troubleshooting single-phase and three-phase motors
  • Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems
