Structural Fitter
Job Description
The Structural Fitter is responsible for utilizing drawings to fit and assemble structural steel products for various industrial projects. This role involves participating in the layout and assembly of structural components for steel fabrication, ensuring adherence to established fabrication procedures. The candidate must be able to read and understand drawings, codes, and specifications and fit to D1.1 and D1.5 bridge code standards as well as vessel/tank codes.
Responsibilities

Utilize drawings to fit and assemble structural steel products.

Participate in the layout and assembly of structural components for steel fabrication.

Ensure all established fabrication procedures are followed.

Fit to D1.1 and D1.5 bridge code standards.

Fit vessels/tanks to specified codes.
Essential Skills
-
3-5 years FCAW welding experience.

3-5 years of experience in structural fitting.

3-5 years of experience in fabrication.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, codes, and specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Pass a drawing test before employment.

3 years of experience in the structural steel fabrication industry.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gibsonton, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
