School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Menifee, CA | Full-Time | In-Person | 2026-2027 School Year Contract
Starting at $80.00/hour
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school district in Menifee, California for the 2026-2027 school year . This is a full-time, fully onsite position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills, academic achievement, and overall success in the educational setting.
Position Summary
The School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to students across assigned school sites. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, providing direct and indirect therapy services, participating in IEP meetings, and maintaining compliant documentation. The SLP will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members to support students' communication needs and educational success.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct speech-language assessments and evaluations for students referred for services.

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.

Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.

Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding eligibility, goals, and services.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation, progress reports, and service logs.

Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement.

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations, including IDEA and California special education requirements.

Support students across assigned school sites as determined by district needs.

Starting pay: $80.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications
-
Active California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
-
California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (or eligibility to obtain, as required)
-
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
-
Strong knowledge of IEP processes, special education regulations, and school-based service delivery models
-
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
-
Current CPR certification, if required
-
Completion of TB screening and other pre-employment requirements as required by the district and state regulations

Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Experience

Previous school-based experience

Experience serving K-12 students with a variety of communication disorders

Familiarity with IEP software and special education compliance requirements

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
