Full job description
Established in 2017, WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD) is a leading global commercial-stage company that develops autonomous driving technologies from Level 2 to Level 4. WeRide is the only tech company in the world that holds driverless permits in China, the UAE, Singapore and the US, conducting autonomous driving R&D, tests and operations in over 30 cities of 11 countries around the world. WeRide has operated a self-driving fleet for more than 2,200 days.
What you will do:
- Thoroughly understand how our self-driving technology works.
- Stay on top of countless daily changes, both big and small.
- Safely operate test vehicles for up to 8 hours a day to evaluate and help improve our autonomous driving system.
- Consistently make exceptional judgment calls.
- Share detailed feedback on our technology and top priorities with engineers and managers.
- Be the voice of the company to self-driving enthusiasts and curious onlookers.
- Demonstrate work flexibility in a startup environment – responsibilities include: regularly washing company vehicles, garage maintenance support, carrying things as needed, picking up co-workers (when on business trips), and any other non in vehicle task ad hoc task as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid UAE driver's license for at least 3 years
- Clean driving record
- Strong focus on safety first
- Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English
- Fundamental computer skills
Preferred to have
- Proven record of success thriving in a team setting.
- Passion for vehicles and/or experience in vehicle maintenance.
- Expertise in vehicle technology.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
