Full job description

  • Must be self-starter, detail-oriented and organized

  • Must be able to accept and follow directions

  • Working knowledge of general manufacturing/fabrication processes

  • Manufacture, assemble, install and re-work various aircraft structural components unsupervised

  • Familiar with the installation of various aerospace fasteners, rivets, nut plates etc.​

  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, blueprints and engineering drawings

  • Maintain shop supplies and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment

  • Operate complicated shop tools and equipment as trained and assigned

  • Use of precision measuring devices such as calipers, height, depth, dial, and screw pitch gauges

  • Perform inventory control using logging, tagging, and organizing procedures

  • Maintain tool control and accountability

  • Adhere to company policies and safety programs

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred

Experience:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in the required task area required

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machinery

  • Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls

  • Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements

  • Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery

  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task

  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time

Salary:

The projected salary range for this position is $60,000-85,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
