Full job description

At Classiq Technologies, we’re shaping the future of quantum computing.

Our mission is to make quantum computing practical and impactful by bridging the gap between hardware and real-world applications. Our platform enables developers and enterprises to design, optimize, and deploy quantum algorithms at scale, automating complex processes and supporting teams from beginners to experts across diverse architectures.

Clasiq is trusted by Fortune 500 leaders and global governments. We accelerate the quantum era with a platform that transforms bold quantum ideas into working applications.

We’re seeking a hands-on Tech Lead with strong Python skills who can effectively guide teams and projects.

You’ll join Classiq as a Tech Lead , where you’ll guide teams and projects, be hands-on with strong Python skills. You’ll write code, set technical direction, coach engineers, and maintain our high standards. Your focus is simple: help the team ship reliable software faster and with fewer surprises.

What You'll Do

  • Write and review production code—mainly in Python, with some TypeScript—aiming for clarity, performance, and maintainability
  • Lead design work: define architecture, make trade-offs, and drive projects from proposal to production
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and pair programming; share best practices openly
  • Raise code quality: testing strategy (unit/integration), type hints, static analysis, docs, and automation
  • Improve developer experience: faster CI/CD, better build and test tooling, reliable local dev environments, reproducible setup
  • Work with product, infra, and compiler teams to deliver features that meet reliability, latency, and scale goals
  • Continuously reduce toil: improve observability, simplify workflows, and adopt tools that make engineers more effective
  • Leverage AI/LLM tooling to empower developers and streamline engineering processes with measurable impact on cycle time, flakiness, and onboarding

Who You Are

  • Extensive hands-on Python development in production systems
  • Strong system design and scalable architecture experience
  • Experience leading technical projects and guiding teams through design, implementation, and rollout
  • Proven mentoring and clear communication in code and design reviews
  • A habit of engineering excellence: testing, pre-commit hooks, documentation, and CI/CD
  • Comfort with modern workflows: Git, GitHub actions, and agile practices
  • Hands-on experience applying AI/LLMs to developer workflows and processes, and integrating them safely into systems
  • B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or related field

Bonus Points

  • Cloud and DevOps experience (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes); infrastructure-as-code and secure software supply chain know‑how
  • Background in developer tooling (build systems, test frameworks, artifact management, internal libraries, cluster orchestration
  • Familiarity with quantum frameworks (Classiq, Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
  • Familiarity with domain-specific languages
  • Open-source contributions or active involvement in a developer community

Why Join Us?

  • Work at the forefront of quantum innovation with global enterprises and leading tech partners
  • Be part of a fast-growing startup shaping the future of computing.
  • We care about people and put people first. Your growth, well-being, and ideas matter here.
