As a School-Based LPN/LVN, you'll play a vital role in supporting student health and wellness by:
? Providing 1:1 nursing support and classroom assistance
? Monitoring student health needs throughout the school day
? Promoting wellness and disease prevention
? Collaborating with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
? Supporting students with personal care needs
? Helping students succeed in a safe and healthy learning environment
?? Position Details
Position: School-Based LPN/LVN (1:1 & Classroom Assignments)
?? Great Pay
?? School Year: 2026-2027
?? Start Date: August 13, 2026
? Hours: Up to 30 hours per week
?? Must be comfortable traveling to various K-12 school sites
?? Transportation required for some assignments
?? Contract Length: 1 Year
? Minimum Qualifications
-
Current LPN/LVN license in the state of practice
-
Compliance with all professional standards of practice
-
One year of school nursing experience preferred
-
One year of pediatric experience preferred
-
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
-
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
-
Current Health Certificate (per contract or state requirements)
-
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years old

School-based assignments may include both 1:1 student support and classroom-based care

Must be comfortable working with students across K-12 grade levels

Diapering and toileting are mandatory responsibilities

The 1:1 School LPN/LVN is responsible for identifying and addressing health concerns in students within the school setting. This role includes promoting general wellness, providing health education, and supporting disease prevention efforts. The School LPN/LVN monitors the student’s physical condition throughout the school day and refers to appropriate healthcare resources when necessary. All care is delivered in accordance with the School LPN/LVN scope of practice and in compliance with applicable state education codes.
Minimum Requirements:

Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current LPN/LVN license in the state which services are being provided

One year of school nurse experience, preferred

One-year pediatric experience, pre

Current CPR if applicable

TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
