Job Description

Position Overview:

The Structural Welder at Vertiv is responsible for fabricating and assembling

steel components for modular and prefabricated building projects. This role requires

expertise in welding techniques, a commitment to safety, and the ability to interpret

technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding

requirements.

Perform MIG, Flux Core, and stick welding on structural steel components.

Inspect welds for quality and compliance with company and industry standards.

Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure project deadlines are met.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.

Assist in the installation and assembly of prefabricated structures as needed.

Document work performed and report any issues or defects to supervisors.

Qualifications:

Technical certification in welding preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience in structural welding or steel fabrication.

Proficiency in MIG, Flux Core, and stick welding techniques.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints preferred.

Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations.

Strong attention to detail and quality.

Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with modular or prefabricated construction.

AWS (American Welding Society) certification.

Forklift or crane operation experience.
