About the role

HealthFitness is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Lifeguard to join the aquatics team at our corporate client site in Anna, Ohio.

This is an on-call/substitute position , providing coverage on an as-needed basis when regular lifeguards are unavailable. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the safety of participants, responding to emergencies, and delivering excellent customer service while supporting a positive and enjoyable aquatic environment.

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.

• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.

• Respond appropriately to any emergency.

• Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.

• Attend all required staff meetings and training.

• Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.

• Maintain a professional attitude.

• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.

• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.

• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.

• Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.

• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $14 - $15 per hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
