Description
Help Build the Team Behind a Growing Construction Business
A successful commercial construction company is looking for an HR Coordinator to support recruiting, onboarding, payroll administration, employee records, and compliance. This is a great fit for an HR professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants exposure to both office and field employees.
You'll partner with Project Managers, Operations, and company leadership while helping keep HR processes organized and employees supported.
Responsibilities

Coordinate recruiting for office and field positions

Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates

Manage new hire onboarding and employment documentation

Maintain employee files and HRIS records
-
Process employee changes and payroll-related updates
-
Assist with benefits administration

Track licenses, certifications, and required training

Support workers' compensation and leave documentation

Assist with HR compliance and policy administration

Prepare HR reports and employee communications
Requirements
-
2–4 years of HR coordination or HR administrative experience
-
Construction or skilled trades experience preferred
-
Knowledge of California employment practices
-
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
-
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
-
Excellent follow-through and organizational abilities
-
SHRM-CP, aPHR, PHR, or related certification is a plus
