Job Description
Manages, plans, organizes, and evaluates the daily operation, staff, and quality control of multiple laboratory disciplines and/or shifts. Provides operational leadership and by interacting with clients, presenting organizational capabilities, defining scope of work and delivering results through execution and technical guidance.
Job Responsibility
- Provides leadership to Clinical Laboratory Operations' team members and
supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department
objectives.
- Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the
health system.
- Manages day-to-day activities and staff; hires, trains, disciplines, and supervises
staff.
- Evaluates performance and ensures appraisals are completed on a timely basis;
sets daily priorities and delegating work assignments; ensures scheduled staff
hours and vacation provide adequate coverage; ensures maintenance of employee
and operational records.
- Manages the development and validation of analytical methodologies for a wide
range of pharmaceutical dosage forms.
- Ensures results by solving problems of a diverse scope; drives initiatives outside of
standard work function; leads investigations.

Collaborates and effectively communicates with clients and internal groups.

Collaborates with business development and contracts to assist in project definition
and costing.
- Ensures timely completion and compliance and all other relevant company training
requirements.
- Motivates a high performing team to meet the current and evolving needs of the
business through effective selection, training and development, coaching and
mentoring and performance management.

Job Qualification
*Bachelor's Degree required.
*Current License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
*6-8 years of technical experience, required and 2-5 years of leadership/management experience, preferred OR Master's Degree with 2-4 years of technical experience.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is $121200.00-$212100.00/year
