Description:

As a Senior Manager, Business Management at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will contribute significantly to customer success and business growth across our network. You'll be responsible for managing strategic client relationships, ensuring effective customer onboarding, and optimizing business operations. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on client relationship management, focusing on delivering exceptional customer experiences while maximizing business value. As part of a growing site you will also build out a team of Business Managers to manage a growing portfolio.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll oversee end-to-end customer engagement, from initial onboarding through ongoing account management. You'll enhance processes, implement standardized methodologies, and ensure operational excellence across all customer touchpoints. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both customer satisfaction and business growth while working with leading pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations.

Keys to Success :

Education:

  • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, CDMO, or related field

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Business Administration, Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering

Experience:

  • Strong customer relationship management and strategic account management expertise

  • Demonstrated leadership ability in managing cross-functional teams and projects

  • Advanced negotiation skills and experience with complex contract management

  • Expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and business planning

  • Demonstrated success in improving processes and operational excellence

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing and GMP requirements

  • Effective stakeholder management and executive-level communication

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and business intelligence tools

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a matrix organization

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills

  • Fluency in English required; additional languages valuable

  • Ability to travel (up to 25%)

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $141,800.00–$212,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
