The Western Dubuque High School Main Office Secretary serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors, creating a welcoming and professional front office environment. This role provides administrative support to the principals and staff, manages daily office operations, and ensures effective communication between the school and families.

Key responsibilities include answering phones, greeting visitors, maintaining student records, processing attendance, coordinating schedules and meetings, handling correspondence, supporting enrollment procedures, and assisting with school events. The secretary maintains confidentiality, manages multiple tasks efficiently, and contributes to a positive and organized school climate.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, highly-organized, and skilled in communication and technology, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced school setting.

Required Qualifications - Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications - Secretarial experience in a school or office setting.

Position begins: August 17, 2026, or as soon as possible.

Days per year: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 215 days per year.
