Job Description

Our client is seeking two Project Engineers to support the planning and execution of new nuclear generation projects. This role will focus heavily on early-stage project development, including engineering design reviews, cost estimating, constructability assessments, and coordination with engineering, construction, and project management teams. The ideal candidate will have prior field or construction experience and a strong understanding of large capital infrastructure projects. This role pays $45-55/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

Support early-stage engineering and project development activities for new nuclear construction projects.

Assist with project estimating, budgeting, and cost forecasting efforts.

Review engineering designs, technical drawings, specifications, and construction packages.

Coordinate between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project alignment.

Participate in constructability reviews and identify potential project risks.

Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.

Support project execution activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Monitor field activities and provide technical support during construction phases.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external engineering partners to drive successful project outcomes.

Skills and Requirements

  • 4+ years of engineering, construction, or project engineering experience.

  • Experience supporting large-scale industrial, energy, power generation, or infrastructure projects.

  • Previous field construction experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or related discipline preferred).

Knowledge of engineering design processes and project execution methodologies.

Experience with project estimating, cost controls, or project planning.

Experience with: Vogtle Units 3 & 4, VC Summer, AP1000 projects
