Position Overview:
In this role, you will provide routine and specialized radiation treatments with a deep commitment to caring for patients and supporting them throughout their treatment journey. You will work closely with physicians and your care team to deliver treatment plans safely, accurately, and on time, while exercising sound clinical judgment and attention to detail.
You will build trust and ease anxiety for patients and their families through compassionate assessment, attentive monitoring, and clear, empathetic communication. As a valued member of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to a positive and supportive work environment where patient safety, dignity, and teamwork come first.
You are expected to follow all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as departmental policies and procedures, to ensure privacy, safety, and the highest quality of patient care. You may also have opportunities to support your teammates by performing specialized procedures and helping orient or mentor new staff within the department.

OR RHA-Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology by the Radiologic Health Branch

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
-
2 years recent relevant experience SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
-
General knowledge of radiation therapy principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
-
Capable of performing routine radiation treatment and simulations as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
-
Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.

Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline

General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS).

Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.

Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.

Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).

Pay Range is $67.45 to $94.43 / hour
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
