(In-Office) About the Opportunity A growing Insurance agency is seeking a Customer Service & Sales Representative (CSSR) to play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while supporting the agency's sales efforts. In this position, you'll serve as the first point of contact for clients, assisting with policy servicing, billing questions, coverage inquiries, and account updates. You'll also support agency growth by following up on leads, scheduling appointments, preparing quotes, and identifying cross-selling opportunities when appropriate. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced insurance environment, takes pride in helping customers, and is comfortable balancing both customer service and sales support responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers by phone, email, and in person. • Assist clients with policy changes, billing inquiries, payments, and general service requests. • Answer customer questions regarding coverages, policies, and insurance products. • Follow up with leads and prospects generated through agency marketing and referrals. • Schedule appointments for licensed agents and producers. • Prepare and provide insurance quotes as directed. • Identify and communicate cross-selling opportunities to agency producers. • Maintain accurate client records and account documentation. • Process policy changes and other insurance transactions in a timely manner. • Support daily agency operations while delivering outstanding customer service. • Build positive client relationships and contribute to customer retention efforts. • Follow agency procedures and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications • Active Texas General Lines Property & Casualty License or Texas Personal Lines Property & Casualty License. • Strong customer service skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. • Comfortable interacting with customers both by phone and in person. • Ability to make outbound sales and follow-up calls. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. • Ability to prioritize tasks and consistently follow through on responsibilities. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Professional approach to handling payments, service requests, and customer concerns. • Working knowledge of computers, email, and Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to work effectively in an in-office environment. • Positive attitude and professional demeanor. • Ability to work independently while adhering to agency procedures.
Preferred Qualifications • 1+ year of insurance customer service experience. • Previous experience working within a Farmers Insurance agency. • Experience using systems such as: ○ AgencyZoom ○ Salesforce ○ RingCentral ○ Similar CRM or agency management platforms • Experience issuing Certificates of Insurance (COIs). • Experience servicing commercial insurance accounts. • Familiarity with Personal Lines insurance products. • Previous customer service or inside sales experience. • Bilingual English/Spanish.
Compensation • $4,000 per month salary ($48,000 annualized) • No commission component. • Cross-selling and appointment-setting activities are part of the role's performance expectations but are not separately compensated through commissions. • Additional benefits and eligibility details will be discussed during the interview process.
