Job Description:

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.
Shift: Full-Time 36 hours
Days- 7am-7pm

Administers ordered treatments and medications safely and competently within the scope of practice.

Reviews and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the RN, patient, family, and healthcare team.

Collects comprehensive patient data under the direct supervision of the RN, including physical, psychosocial, environmental, and developmental information.

Performs and documents data collection on admission and during each shift for all assigned patients within the designated time frame.

Monitors patient status throughout the shift, reporting pertinent information and significant findings to the healthcare team.

Communicates the plan of care to other healthcare team members verbally throughout the shift and during shift report.

Delegates tasks appropriately to unlicensed personnel, ensuring they have demonstrated competence.

Transcribes and implements physician orders within the scope of practice. Provides patient education based on identified needs. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to communicate and collaborate appropriately and effectively with other health care professionals, and patients and their family, based on their learning needs. [Required]

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the healthcare industry. [Required]
-
Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms, splinting, phlebotomy, and urinary catheter insertion. [Required]
-
Knowledge of medications from approved hospital list, including indications, side effects, and contraindications. [Required]
-
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient-related information. [Required]
-
Ability to understand and process orders from physicians and other personnel. [Required]
-
Ability to maintain records and appropriately document patient data and treatment progress. [Required]
-
Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English. [Required]
-
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. [Required]
-
Maintain 95% medication and scanning compliance. [Required]
-
Basic computer skills, excellent human relations, and oral/written skills. [Preferred]
Education:
- Technical/Vocational School [Required]
Field of Study:
- from an allied health program (CVT,US, Respiratory, RN, Radiology, Nuc Med, etc.) or equivalent certification
Work Experience:
- 1+ nursing experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) [Required]

Pay Range:
$20.97 - $38.99 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
