Job Description:

Call Required

Shift: 3x12's

  • Recognizes abnormalities and reports findings to physicians and/or nursing staff promptly.

  • Uses doppler to quantitate and localize abnormalities when needed.

  • Strictly obeys isolation and infection control procedures as outlined in the hospital infection control manual.

  • Responds appropriately to situations requiring immediate action and judgment in patient care.

  • Coordinates exams with other departments to facilitate efficient scheduling and minimize patient waiting. Informs patients of proper preps, arrival, and exam times to minimize unnecessary schedule delays.

  • Plans, organizes, and implements work assignments efficiently and productively.

  • Observes patients during exams and reports any unusual occurrences to nursing and/or physicians.

  • Performs exams in accordance with established departmental guidelines to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of patients.

  • Acts as a liaison with physicians and their office staff to expedite procedures and results.

  • Verifies requested procedures by referring to the chart and contacts the appropriate person if there are discrepancies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned. Education:

  • Associate's [Preferred]

  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Field of Study:

  • Completion with certificate from an accredited allied health education program [Required] Work Experience:

  • 1+ previous experience required as a graduate tech [Required] Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) [Required]

Pay Range:

$29.60 - $55.05
