Job Duties
Flat Knifer
Key Responsibilities
Operate automated rule‑bending machines using computer interfaces
Perform hand “finish bending” using pneumatic tools and various hand tools
Insert rule into die boards by pounding with a rawhide mallet
Read and follow production specifications with strong attention to detail
Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety procedures
Lift materials up to 75 lbs (average 35 lbs)
Stand for the majority of the shift
Minimum Education Required
High School Diploma
Minimum Experience Required
Qualifications
Computer literate; able to run and adjust automated bending machines
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to learn a specialized trade
Comfortable with physical work including lifting and standing
Experience with pneumatic or hand tools preferred but not required
