**Where You Will Work **
Chino is an open-pit copper mining complex located 15 miles from the historic mining community of Silver City in southwestern New Mexico. The historic Chino mine was among the world's first low-grade, open-pit copper mines. Today, the operation consists of a 36,000-metric-ton-per-day concentrator that produces copper and a 150-million-pound-per-year solvent extraction/electrowinning plant that produces copper cathode from solution generated by run-of-mine leaching.

What You Will Do

Execute and contribute to development of tactical and strategic goals, objectives, policies and procedures in assigned area within the business.

Direct Supervisors and other staff in daily operations.

Monitor operations, MIS services and projects in progress and upon completion to ensure quality of work.

Provide administrative and technical direction to staff; interpret and implement policies and procedures.

Oversee and recommend the selection of key staff; participate in the selection of staff.

Work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement disciplinary procedures and recommend terminations; investigate complaints and recommend corrective action as necessary.

Forecast necessary funds for staffing, materials and supplies, and capital improvement projects.

Submit budget recommendations and justifications; monitor and control expenditures and explain variations.

Develop, plan, and coordinate the work plan for assigned projects and responsibilities, which may include project management, cost estimates and program development, coordinate work with other units and site departments.

Communicate and collaborate with MIS Manager, Site Management and other departments; answer questions and provide information to all MIS customers.

Review Capital Improvement Plans and make recommendations.

Evaluate IT infrastructure, support processes and procedures, timely address deviations or corrections needed.

Oversee and coordinate with PCN on MIS activities and other joint responsibilities.

Oversee and enforce FCX MIS Policies and any other relevant compliance activities.

Coordinate the activities of consultants and contractors.

Perform other duties as required.
What You Bring To Freeport
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field and seven (7) years of experience in a computer technology service delivery capacity, ** OR**

Associate's degree or IT Certificate and nine (9) years of related IT experience, ** OR**

High School diploma or GED and eleven (11) years of experience in a computer technology service delivery capacity

Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required, depending upon the department/site.
Preferred Qualifications
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $97,500-$138,000 . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
