Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor Outbound Delivery report, on a daily basis, to ensure that orders are processed and shipped according to schedule.
Complete shipping information to the customer via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange); ASN (Advance Shipping Notification); Fax, Email, or Mail.
Schedule and monitor customer specified freight carriers for pickup of orders. Monitor and schedule Fed Ex orders (requires 24-hour advance notification for pickup).
Process request for freight quotes on 'pre-paid and add' orders from customers.
Communicate with carriers for updated ETA's and/or follow up.
Log, research and resolve freight and handling chargebacks.
Review routing guides regularly and have an understanding of International account requirements to support accuracy of shipments.
Prepare and process shipping documents for outbound materials.
Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipping.
Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities.
Communicate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Report delivery shortages and inventory discrepancies.
Assist with packaging and labeling of materials for shipment.
Perform regular audits of shipping procedures and processes.
Handle Hazmat Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED
Experience with ERP system (preferably SAP)
5+ years of experience in shipping, processing or a related warehouse environment
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must have acceptable attendance record
Ability to become Forklift Certified; forklift experience preferred
Ability to stand for 10 hr. shifts
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Base Pay Range: $20-$25
Compensation Disclosure:
At Phillips and Temro Industries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is listed above. Your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location.
