Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Description

The Production Supervisor oversees daily production operations to ensure that output, inventory levels, and quality standards consistently meet organizational goals. This role coordinates workflow, supports a high-performing team, and maintains safe, efficient, and compliant production processes. The Production Supervisor also prepares performance reports, supports production planning and continuous improvement initiatives, and resolves operational challenges to maintain smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure that production targets, inventory levels, and quality standards are consistently achieved.

  • Schedule, coordinate, and prioritize workflow to meet production deadlines and optimize use of labor, materials, and equipment.

  • Supervise team members on the production floor, providing guidance, support, and direction to maintain efficient production processes.

  • Monitor product quality throughout the production cycle and ensure compliance with all specifications and standards.

  • Prepare, review, and distribute production and performance reports to communicate results and identify areas for improvement.

  • Coordinate machine setup and adjustments to support production requirements and maintain optimal equipment performance.

  • Ensure material availability by analyzing work orders and determining required materials and equipment for each job.

  • Enforce workplace safety policies and operational procedures to maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.

  • Address employee concerns promptly and constructively, promoting a positive and collaborative work culture.

  • Review and approve employee time records and production documentation to ensure accuracy and proper reporting.

  • Support production planning by providing input on capacity, scheduling, and resource needs.

  • Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing productivity, quality, and efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues on the production floor and coordinate repairs or maintenance as needed.

  • Inspect work-in-progress and finished products to verify quality compliance and adherence to specifications.

  • Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment, and processes to enhance throughput and reduce waste.

  • Resolve operational and workflow challenges quickly to minimize downtime and maintain efficient production.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall business operations and production objectives.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in production supervision or production management within a manufacturing or assembly environment.

  • Strong background in overseeing daily production operations, including managing inventory levels and maintaining quality standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to schedule, coordinate, and prioritize workflow to consistently meet production deadlines.

  • Experience supervising production team members and supporting efficient, high-quality production processes.

  • Ability to monitor product quality and ensure strict compliance with specifications and standards.

  • Hands-on experience coordinating machine setup, adjustments, and ensuring material availability for production runs.

  • Solid understanding of workplace safety policies and operational procedures, with a commitment to enforcing them.

  • Capability to prepare, analyze, and distribute production and performance reports for management and team use.

  • Skill in analyzing work orders to determine material and equipment requirements for each job.

  • Experience troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinating timely repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve operational and workflow challenges efficiently.

  • Effective communication skills for addressing employee concerns and promoting a positive work environment.

  • Experience in assembly or manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.

  • background in production planning and capacity management is an advantage.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
