As an unarmed Security Officer at a college location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.

Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, checking credentials when required, and reporting unauthorized access concerns.

Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
