Purpose:

This role reports to the SEC Reporting AVP and works independently with peers and leaders across the organization to prepare and analyze the company’s SEC financial statements, management reports, and related financial statement disclosures to ensure their accuracy and integrity.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead preparation and review of SEC filings (10‑Q, 10‑K) and US GAAP financial statements.

  • Perform complex technical accounting analyses and support financial statement preparation.

  • Manage consolidations, including VIEs, intercompany eliminations, and cash flow statement.

  • Research and apply US GAAP and SEC disclosure guidance; implement new accounting standards.

  • Analyze and resolve financial variances using detailed accounting assessments

  • Partner cross‑functionally and with parent company teams to meet reporting deadlines.

  • Prepare financial statement analytics and ensure disclosure checklist compliance.

  • Support external audits and regulatory reviews through workpaper preparation and analysis.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of technical accounting, SEC reporting, public accounting, or relevant professional experience.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; ability to analyze complex transactions and accounting treatment.

  • Experience in public accounting or SEC reporting within the insurance industry preferred.

  • Strong analytical and research skills with ability to clearly communicate conclusions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Workiva (Wdesk) preferred.

  • Familiarity with Oracle, Essbase, and Hyperion a plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or FLMI designation preferred or in progress.

$100,885.60 - $151,328.40 USD Annual

Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
