Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift

Description: Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Sonographer to join our Urgent Care team. In this role, you will provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures to perform Abdomen, OB and Vascular scans.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepares patients for procedures utilizing aseptic and sterile techniques.
  • Positions patients for sonographic examination.
  • Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
  • Communicates the results to the diagnosing physician.
  • Analyzes sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history.
  • Maintains ultrasound equipment and work area.

What We're Looking For:

  • EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
  • CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: Valid CPR certification. Valid, unrestricted certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialty(ies) as appropriate, Abdomen and/or OBGYN (ARDMS) and Vascular (ARDMS) or (CCI). For those obtaining Bone Density images, valid certification by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry or ability to become certified within 90 days of hire.
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year experience, or comparable combination of experience and education in performing the following exams: Carotids, lower extremity venous, pelvic/transvaginal, abdominals, appendix, thyroids, scrotums, 1st-OBs, upper extremity venous, and hernias. Experience on Toshiba and Phillips equipment is preferred.
