Full job description
Rye Country Day School is seeking a Girls JV Volleyball Head Coach. The volleyball season takes place between August 24th- November 9th. Required hours during the season are Monday - Friday, 3pm-6pm. Involvement in the middle school girls volleyball program is encouraged but not required. Middle school athletics takes place Monday-Friday from 2pm- 3:30pm.

Specific responsibilities of the position include:

Serve as Head Girls JV Volleyball Coach for the Upper School

Effectively planning and organizing both practice and competition calendars in conjunction with Athletic Director and Staff

Creating an inclusive, exciting, and challenging environment each day

Collaborating with the assistant coaches in planning and communication

Maintaining a safe environment at all times

Communicating with athletes, parents, coaches, and opponents in a professional manner
Desired qualifications:

Minimum of 3-years successful high school Girls Head or Assistant Coaching experience

A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community

Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient
