Salary: $60,000.00 Annually

Job Title: Case Coordinator

Job Summary:

CASES is looking for an independent self-starter to be a Career Coach for the PEAK program, a phase-based job readiness program for young adults (17-19) that are under the supervision of the Department of Probation.

This position supports the Education and Career Services (ECS) team. ECS works with youth and young adults ages 17-27 to develop their employability skills and long-term employment.

Services are expected to be done in person – at the office and/or in the community.

Shift Hours: This position is full-time Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: The salary for this role is $60,000 per year

Location Address: 424 E 147th Street, Ground Floor, Bronx, NY, 10455. Our office is easily accessible by public transportation

Workplace Flexibility: Flexible (for roles that have days that can be partially remote, e.g., being able to draft notes at home after going to the office/community in the morning)

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Follow up on participant referrals made by the Department of Probation to engage youth in programming

  • Maintain partnership with probation officers and provide updates regarding their youth

  • Facilitate job readiness and life skills groups and/or individual sessions

  • Maintain documentation and process participant stipend payments

  • Plan and execute service-learning projects with program participants

  • Refer participants to support services when needed

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation in databases

  • Attend trainings and team meetings

  • Other duties as assigned by Team Leader or Director of Education & Career Services

What We Are Looking For:

  • 2 years of work with youth and/or young adults

  • Experience working with justice involved and/or opportunity youth

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Experience developing relationships with external partners

  • Commitment to active youth engagement

  • Trained in or committed to training to become competent in trauma informed approaches as a means of engaging young people
