Job Summary: Performs and assists with a variety of echocardiographic tests and other related duties, working under limited supervision to ensure high quality diagnostic studies. Reports to the manager of Non-Invasive Cardiology Services/ Manager of Echo Lab or Office/Practice Manager. * Produce echocardiograms that satisfy the laboratory protocols for standard transthoracic imaging and for special conditions including valvular heart disease, stress echocardiography, 3D echocardiography and strain imaging. * Participates fully in all the routine procedures within the laboratory, including transesophageal echo, stress echo, and structural heart disease cases where applicable. * Identify studies which require vetting for appropriateness. Recognizes true cardiac emergencies, including cardiac tamponade, aortic dissection, and acute valvular regurgitation. Uses contrast for appropriate indications * Graduation from an accredited ultrasound school * High School Diploma * One-year previous echocardiography experience * Experience with two-dimensional, m-mode, Doppler, TEE and stress echo * RCS by CCI or RDCS by ARDMS * Valid CPR Certification We take great care of careers.
