Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 301 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY City: DAYTONA BEACH State: Florida Postal Code: 32117 Job Description:

Maintains an organized, clutter-free, welcoming environment in the nursing station. Conducts environmental rounds every 2 hours, ensuring patient care items are returned to the bedside table, the over bed tray is free of clutter, equipment is plugged in, and nursing alcoves are free of clutter with chairs tucked in. Monitors PALS (Patient Access List) and notifies the primary nurse of new orders and results pending every 30 minutes. Monitors BEDBOARD and notifies the Charge Nurse or designee of any discrepancies in the level of care every 2 hours. Provides customer service rounds, responding to patient requests within the scope of practice (e.g., ice, blankets, pillows, room temperature). Answers the intercom by acknowledging the patient by name, placing the intercom on caregiver follow-up, and responding to the patient's bedside to identify the request. Assists with battery changes and lead placement of telemetry. Assists with new patient room setup and orientation, and patient transport needs. Serves as a resource for medical and nursing staff regarding the order entry process. Ensures accurate location of patients within the computer and promptly removes patients upon discharge. Provides printed verification of physician consults, including time/date and personal information called. May be responsible for reconciliation of unit equipment. Other duties as assigned Greets visitors to the unit proactively and ensures a positive, friendly, and helpful demeanor while working with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
