Medical Assistant (2992) FWH - Mira Vista - Fort Worth, TX 76132 Overview Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage Up to 10% Category Other Positions Description US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our team at Fort Worth Heart in Fort Worth TX.
Responsibilities:

Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
-
Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
-
Perform venipuncture and other laboratory tests as required, while adhering to safety protocols.
-
Manage electronic health records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information.

Perform basic cardiology-related procedures, such as EKGs, Holter monitor placements, and stress tests, under supervision or as directed by physicians

Handle multi-line phone systems and communicate effectively with patients, scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries. Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR.

Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
