Full job description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in lumber processing, is seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Laborer to join their team. As a vital part of the production support staff, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the lumber production line. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: General Laborer

Location: Colfax, WI

Pay Range: $20.50

Shift: 1st

What's the Job?

  • Stage and pull raw lumber according to production sheets and specifications

  • Unwrap and prepare units of white wood for production

  • Maintain cleanliness of the yard, including picking up skids, banding, stickers, and paper

  • Keep the T shed stocked with all lengths of wood and organize the green shed

  • Unload trucks, document damages, and ensure proper storage of received materials

  • Operate forklift in specific situations to move and load product

What's Needed?

  • Ability to understand and follow detailed production instructions

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Willingness to work in a physically active environment

  • Good communication skills and teamwork orientation

  • Basic understanding of lumber grading and moisture content is a plus
