Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Medical Support Assistants (Medical Receptionists) that is to primarily support the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System located at 1601 East Fourth Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98661. Working hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic waitlists

  • Process consults, including intake, outreach, and coordination with providers

  • Adjust appointment times, locations, or providers based on clinic needs

  • Conduct daily reviews of consults, recall lists, and pending appointments

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for patients, families, and staff

  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and resolve concerns promptly

  • Provide clear instructions and explain VA processes and procedures

  • Handle complaints and work toward resolution within established timelines

  • Perform receptionist duties and support clinic operations

  • Maintain appointment schedules for one or more clinics/units

  • Operate office equipment and manage documentation

  • Deliver messages and coordinate communication across departments

  • Accurately input and update patient information in VA systems (CPRS/EHRM)

  • Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information

  • Verify patient identity using required identifiers

  • Follow HIPAA, privacy, and VA regulations

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and sensitive information

  • Work within an interdisciplinary healthcare team

  • Coordinate with VA and non-VA providers and external partners

  • Support clinic operations and workload management activities

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

  • Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.

  • Ability to work remotely and independently in a professional setting.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable VA background investigation (NACI) and PIV credential.

  • No physical or health restrictions that would interfere with job performance.

  • Ability to complete all required VA onboarding, security, privacy, and mandatory training prior to and during assignment.

  • U.S. citizenship required.

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift

  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist

  • Lift up to 20 lbs

  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance

  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
