Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Folder Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating folding machines that transform printed materials into finished products with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that all folding processes meet high-quality standards, contributing to the seamless production of print advertising, packaging, and other printed materials. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact the quality and delivery of our products.
Responsibilities
Operate folding machines and related equipment to process printed materials accurately and efficiently
Set up and adjust machinery based on job specifications, ensuring optimal performance for each project
Monitor production runs closely, performing quality control checks to detect and correct any defects or inconsistencies
Collaborate with prepress and graphic design teams to interpret job requirements and ensure proper layout and color management
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules
Assist with machine maintenance, including routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs as needed
Skills
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes related to print production, including flexo press operations and CNC machining techniques
Experience with screen printing, prepress workflows, and layout design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Proficiency in color management principles to ensure color accuracy across various print jobs
Familiarity with quality control standards specific to print advertising and packaging industries
Ability to operate forklifts safely when handling raw materials or finished products
Understanding of typography, layout design, and print finishing techniques
Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting CNC equipment and flexo presses
Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills
