Food Service Worker / Monitor

Location:Starpoint

Schedule:Part-Time, School-Year Position (Monday–Friday during school hours) variable hours between 9:30 am and 2:00 pm

Pay Rate: 17.00 per hour

Position Summary:

Personal Touch Food Service, Inc.is seeking a dependable and friendly Food Service Worker/Monitor to join our school cafeteria team. This dual-role position supports daily food service operations while also supervising students during meal periods to promote a safe, clean, and respectful cafeteria environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with preparing, portioning, and serving meals in accordance with menus and nutrition guidelines

Set up and restock serving lines, salad bars, and condiment stations

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, dishes, and utensils

Operate kitchen equipment and point-of-sale (POS) systems as needed

Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations

Supervise and monitor student behavior in the cafeteria during breakfast and/or lunch periods

Promote a safe, orderly, and respectful environment among students

Report any issues or concerns to the Food Service Manager or school staff

Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Food Service Manager or Supervisor

Requirements

Qualifications:

Prior food service or school experience preferred but not required

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions

Must work well in a team setting

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

Must pass a background check in accordance with school district and state regulations
