At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Mammography/DXA Technologist to join our team.
The primary responsibility of the Mammographer/DXA Tech is:

While following MQSA and ACR guidelines, position patients and imaging equipment precisely for a variety of mammography images and procedures.

In Bone Density, demonstrate consistency in precision and repeated positioning of specific anatomy on the same patients and on varied patients.
-
Utilize radiation protection by adhering to ALARA.

Demonstrate competence in use of all pertinent electronic health systems
-
Ensure all images are stored in PACS accurately.
-
Participate in QA and QI as determined and required by QA Tech/ Radiation Safety Officer/Manager or Medical Director.
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists — Registered in Radiology and Mammography

Current BCLS certification
-
ISCD certification in Bone Density is preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate.

Two years' experience preferred but not required.
