SEI has a challenging career opportunity for a DevOps Architect / Engineer. The optimal candidate will be a senior-level engineer with extensive experience in application migrations to Azure, Azure modular Enterprise-scale architecture, security controls, automation/orchestration, and the enforcement of governance policies. You should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. You will be responsible for deploying and maintaining many components of the cloud infrastructure including network design, resource allocation, storage, and security.

What you will do:

  • Hands-on engineer that assists and enables product/scrum teams with migrating and onboarding the respective workloads to the cloud.

  • Provides app reference architecture patterns for the phased app transformation approach with specific insights on migrating to native azure services.

  • Assist with app-specific Azure DevOps needs as well as CI/CD pipelines and deployment patterns.

  • Define, Implement, and document operational processes and procedures

  • Provide technical architecture leadership and direction on projects resulting in scalable, reliable, and maintainable platforms

  • Enable our product development team to deliver new code through Continuous Integration and Deployment Pipelines

  • Mentor team members and provide hands on technical delivery of projects

  • Self-motivated with the ability to take on technical challenges and have fun solving business problems What we need from you:

  • Bsc./MSc./BTech Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field

  • Minimum of 7 years prior work experience working with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation

  • Expert knowledge of Azure compute, storage, networking;

  • Experience with enterprise migrations from on-prem equipment to cloud environments

  • Experience in the design and automation of Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities including virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, web sites, data services etc.

  • Experience with creating, deploying, configuring and scaling applications in Azure;

  • Expert knowledge of designing high availability systems in Azure (fault domains, availability zones, regions);

  • Knowledge of Azure Database fundamentals (Azure SQL DB, Azure SQL Managed Instance);

  • Experience with automated provisioning of Dev/Test/Staging and Production environments using Infrastructure as a Code;

  • Extensive experience developing Terraform;

  • Experience documenting governance and workflows associated with cloud environments

  • Experience working with cloud native monitoring and logging tools (i.e. Log Analytics, or Azure Monitor);

  • Experience with financial management in cloud using tools like Cloud Health, Apptio etc.;

  • Ability to incorporate security in the design and implementation of solution architectures, and to control access to resources using Azure IAM, and deployment best practices;

  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Entra, App Registrations;

  • Demonstrated ability to create system architecture diagrams and documentation for review by both technical and non-technical audiences;

  • Ability to prepare detailed build/test plans to implement new technologies;

  • Ability to break down application requirements and propose appropriate architectural solutions.

  • In Depth Knowledge on JIRA - JQL queries, filters, and dashboards, Designing and configuring Jira workflows, validators, conditions, and post-functions.

  • Preferably Azure Certified Architect Technologies (AZ303). What we would like from you:
