Youth Leader - After School Program

Now Hiring Youth Leaders!

Are you passionate about working with children and making a positive impact in your community? We are seeking energetic, responsible, and caring Youth Leaders to support students in a dynamic after-school program. This is a rewarding opportunity to help create a safe, engaging, and enriching environment where students can learn, grow, and succeed.

Position Summary

As a Youth Leader, you will supervise and engage students in an after-school setting, helping facilitate educational, recreational, and enrichment activities. You will serve as a positive role model while ensuring student safety, encouraging participation, and promoting a welcoming environment for all participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and support to students during after-school program hours

  • Lead and assist with recreational, educational, and enrichment activities

  • Promote positive behavior and help maintain a safe, structured environment

  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and program staff

  • Support students with varying needs and encourage active participation

  • Monitor student well-being and communicate concerns to supervisors as needed

  • Assist with attendance tracking, activity setup, and program organization

  • Follow all program, district, and safety guidelines

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience working with children or youth is preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and serve as a positive role model

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

  • Must be dependable, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting student success

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to comply with all federal, state, and local requirements

  • TB clearance, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current health certificate if required by contract or state regulations

  • Current CPR certification preferred or required based on assignment

  • Must meet all applicable background screening requirements
