Job Summary

Provides advanced technical expertise in diagnosing complex failures, improving equipment reliability, and supporting long-term maintenance strategies.

Essential Job Functions*

  • Diagnose complex and chronic equipment failures.

  • Lead major equipment repairs and overhauls.

  • Conduct root cause failure analyses and corrective actions.

  • Improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.

  • Mentor and develop Maintenance I and II technicians.

  • Drive reductions in unplanned downtime.

  • Collaborate with engineering on equipment improvements.

  • Promote maintenance best practices and standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or related experience.

Competencies - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of advanced diagnostics for mechanical, electrical, and automated manufacturing systems.

  • Skill in performing root cause failure analysis and implementing corrective actions.

  • Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and equipment life-cycle principles.

  • Knowledge of manual machining equipment, including manual mills, lathes, and related equipment.

  • Ability to mentor and develop less experienced maintenance technicians.

  • Ability to plan and execute complex maintenance and repair activities.

  • Ability to exercise independent technical judgment when resolving high-impact equipment issues.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Self-paced, 8 hr shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises, and extreme temperatures infrequently. Functional near, far and peripheral vision and functional hearing required.

Physical Demands

Heavy, lifting up to 85 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 280 lbs.
