Full job description
The Pittsford Central School District is seeking an Occupational Therapist for the 2026–2027 school year. Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate, plan, program and provide occupational therapy services for students with disabilities, ages 5 to 21 years old
-
Development and implementation of IEP annual goals and objectives based on each student's needs or 504 accommodation plans
-
Delivery of ongoing occupational therapy services within program assignment in collaboration with parents, teachers, other school professionals, and appropriate community agencies/services
-
Participation in school/building/program team meetings
-
Participate in Committee on Special Education meetings as necessary
-
Provide thorough and timely reporting of student progress
-
Implementation of various service delivery models: individual, small group, integrative classroom, RtI/MTSS, etc.

Establish and maintain a daily schedule.

Establish and maintain professional working relationships with school professionals, parents, students, and fellow colleagues
-
Attend departmental and program assignment meetings
-
Preparation of CSE packets as required by assignment

Comply with PCSD policies

Possible staff development for OT Department and/or clinical education of OT students

Supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
-
Maintain licensure through ongoing professional education
-
Complete daily documentation that complies with NYSED and Medicaid requirements
-
Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations, or assistive technology to facilitate students' participation in school activities
-
Provide training and support to school staff, students, and parents on the use of adaptive equipment and techniques
-
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education
Job Qualifications
-
Licensed and currently registered by the New York State Education Department as an Occupational Therapist.
-
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
-
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
