This position leads the planning and monitoring of supply to efficiently meet customer demand for a group of products. The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for creating a production schedule that meets customer requirements while considering available resources such as equipment, raw materials and staffing. The Supply Chain Planner manages the replenishment of all materials required to achieve the production plan. The Supply Chain Planner works proactively to identify risks and collaborates as required to ensure actions are in place to mitigate supply risks. An effective and efficient supply plan will consider the demand profile and supply chain variables to reliably achieve customer satisfaction, inventory and freight goals.

  • Create, maintain, and manage the master production schedule, work orders, production records, and related reports using the ERP system.

  • Monitor production flow, job status, customer requirements, work center capacity, and material availability to prioritize work and support on-time delivery.

  • Coordinate with customer service, operations, procurement, quality, engineering, sales, and production teams to communicate schedules, resolve constraints, and support customer commitments.

  • Execute and support system transactions related to material receipt, storage, transfer, inventory tracking, and production order management.

  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with cycle counts, resolve inventory discrepancies, and support PFEP processes to optimize part flow and inventory accuracy.

  • Investigate material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and delivery risks; escalate issues and recommend corrective actions as needed.

  • Participate in forecast and planning meetings, evaluate demand trends and past-due performance, and recommend improvements to reduce lead times, improve efficiency, and increase on-time delivery.

  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum of 1 to 3 years planning experience, preferable in a discrete manufacturing environment.

4 year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management required with certification in supply chain management preferred.

Possess process analysis/improvement and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities. Experience with Power BI preferred.

Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel in particular, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

Working knowledge of ERP system for material planning and production scheduling. Experience with SAP strongly preferred.

Strong organizational skills and meticulous attentionto detail in all deliverables and reporting.

Experience with LEAN manufacturing and relevant concepts/methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills required with 6 sigma certification a plus

Self driven initiative to manage multiple sometimes competing priorities and drive to achieve results.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
