CNC Machinist

1st shift, 6:30AM – 3:00PM, Monday – Friday

Hourly rate $18.50 - $35 DOE

Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays

RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machines such as lathe or mill, to machine parts to specification.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Analyze each job for proper selection of fixturing, cutting parameters, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, programming requirements, and quality control of finished part.

  • Operation of in-house CAD/CAM system to program various CNC machines.

  • Perform all machine maintenance.

  • Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, and gage blocks.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Three (3) years to five (5) years related experience and/or training.

  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Knowledge of CNC programming and general machining principles, including the use of gages and measurement devices typical of this skill level and experience.
