About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center in the Directorate of Mental Health in Honolulu, Hawaii. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices.

Duties

• Assist in the development and implementation of effective patient care systems to achieve practice compliance with command policies.
• Monitor customer satisfaction scores and comments for opportunities to improve practice operations.
• Manage daily clinical operations, capacity, and workload alignment with organizational performance goals.
• Utilize multiple database systems to analyze enrollment, productivity, and access.
• Utilize DMHRSI controls to optimize staffing resources and operational capacity.
• Oversee clinical IT systems, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and scheduling compliance using Military Health System (MHS) guidelines.
• Coordinate daily operations (walk-ins, cancellations, no-shows), enforces HIPAA and referral policies (Direct Care and Network).
• Manage employee onboarding, skill assessments, cross-training, license verifications, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and patient safety goals.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Preparing reports to improve productivity of healthcare services; 2) Providing direct support to staff members by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data utilizing healthcare systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
