Full job description

As a Refrigeration/Ammonia/HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the ammonia refrigeration system and/or Industrial freon, ammonia, or freon safety systems and work with the Process Safety Coordinator to develop and maintain Process Safety Management Program and Risk Management Program. Starting pay is based on experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Monitors and maintains all ammonia/industrial freon refrigeration equipment

  • Monitors and maintains all glycol and electric underfloor heating systems

  • Implements the Process Safety Management for the facility

  • Performs the required inspections and maintenance per manufacture and code

  • Develops and maintains Standard Operation Procedures and Maintenance Operation Procedures

  • Occasionally support Building Maintenance on a variety of projects

  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Experience in environments that promote safety

  • Strong working knowledge of 120V-480V, 3-Phase

  • Experience in ammonia refrigeration or extensive freon refrigeration experience

  • A dedication to eliminating waste in all areas of the position

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

  • Computer skills

  • Work experience in situations where human error could result in financial loss or personal injury

  • Experience in Hot Work, Line Break and Fall Prevention

ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with on-call duties

  • Requires working at high heights

  • Exposure to chemicals and noise

  • Emergency Response team member

  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor temperatures ranging from below zero to above 100 degrees with high humidity
