Full job description

Sigma Defense is currently seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance I with experience maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, modifying, and installing various types of electronic equipment and related devices.

The ideal candidate is a team member who works well with peers or individually, has military experience in functions such as land navigation, map reading and driving with night vision googles, has a solid understanding of radar operations, radio frequencies, and electronic troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) terminology, theory, and operation.

  • Ability to measure RF characteristics; including signal strength, bandwidth, modulation type, etc.

  • Ability to deploy RF-related hardware in a field environment. (i.e. masts, towers, guy wires, ground anchors, cabling, and connectors).

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance.

  • Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify, and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices.

  • Take measurements with spectrum analyzer, digital multimeter, and other precision RF instruments.

  • Apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions.

  • Replace components, wire circuits, and repair simple electronic equipment.

  • Restore equipment from a non-working state to a working state.

  • Apply technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician to solve equipment issues.

  • Perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions.

  • Receive technical guidance from supervisors or higher-level technicians.

  • Heavy lifting, working in inclement weather, climbing on vehicles, and working in a military training environment.

Compensation:

  • $32.61 per hour + $5.09 (Health & Welfare) per hour.
