How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Develop and execute personalized, evidence-based respiratory care plans to restore optimal lung function and ensure rapid patient stability.

  • Manage advanced respiratory care modalities, specialized equipment, and life-support systems, providing critical, life-saving interventions for patients with acute insufficiencies.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all respiratory treatments and administered medications based on real-time patient outcomes, making timely clinical adjustments to optimize recovery.

  • Respond immediately to all cardiopulmonary emergencies and resuscitation team calls, serving as a critical member of the rapid response team to stabilize acute crises.

  • Empower patients and their families by providing clear, compassionate education on their condition and treatment to ensure safe, confident self-management after discharge.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
