Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician supports the operations maintenance team by repairing, maintaining, and improving material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility. This role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the operations maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment across the building.

  • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging equipment to ensure consistent and reliable operation.

  • Install, maintain, and repair automated distribution equipment to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.

  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems used throughout the facility.

  • Perform electrical maintenance tasks on material handling and automated systems in accordance with safety and technical standards.

  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance.

  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with operations and other maintenance team members to prioritize and complete work orders.

  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining material handling equipment.

  • Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging equipment.

  • Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing automated distribution equipment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems.

Work Environment

This role is based in an operations facility that uses automated packaging and distribution equipment, material handling systems, and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You work hands-on with electrical and mechanical components in a production-oriented environment, moving between different areas of the facility to support equipment uptime. The schedule may include working during operational hours that align with production needs, and the work involves being on your feet, using tools and equipment, and adhering to safety procedures and site-specific attire requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Rockville, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
