Description: At the Heartwood Lodge, we are committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and caring home for our residents. Our team values dignity, respect, and compassion in everything we do. We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated Housekeeper (Environmental Support Assistant) to help maintain a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Position Summary:

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring that our facility remains clean, orderly, and safe. This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, and other parts of the facility in accordance with company standards and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, dining rooms, and offices.

  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish furniture and fixtures as needed.

  • Remove trash and replace liners.

  • Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

  • Report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards to the supervisor.

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.

  • Follow infection control and safety guidelines at all times.

  • Maintain resident confidentiality and treat all residents with dignity and respect.

  • Assist with laundry services as needed.

  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident or staff requests. Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience (especially in a healthcare or senior living environment) is a plus.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Compassionate and respectful attitude toward seniors. Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds.

  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and work on feet for extended periods.
